When overseas buyers come to China for sourcing, the first few days are usually packed with factory visits, supplier meetings, and product inspections. By the end of the trip, many buyers set aside some time to pick up souvenirs and gifts for family and friends, or just do a bit of relaxed shopping.

1. Wanling Plaza

Wanling Plaza is a good spot for gifts, household items, and all kinds of small goods. Prices are reasonable, and there’s a huge variety. You can buy just one item or place a small wholesale order. The products fall into eight main categories:

Guangzhou is also known for its replica goods market, both in China and overseas. It’s a pretty unique part of the city’s business scene. You’ll find these goods mainly in Zhanxi Watch City, Baiyun Leather City, and around APM Mall. They sell replica watches, bags, clothes, and shoes in different quality grades.

• Watches: replicas of Rolex, Omega, Patek Philippe, and other big names
• Bags: classic styles from Chanel, LV, Dior, and so on
• Clothing and shoes: replicas from Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Dior, Louis Vuitton, etc.

Quality varies a lot, from low to mid to high grade. The top-grade ones are well made, with details very close to the real thing.

3. Other leisure shopping options

If you have some free time after your business schedule, you can also spend half a day checking out some of Guangzhou’s popular shopping areas and get a feel for the city.

Beijing Road Pedestrian Street

If you like the old Guangzhou vibe and want to soak up some history while you shop, Beijing Road Pedestrian Street is a good bet. During the day, it’s great for shopping and snacking. At night, when the lights come on, the atmosphere is really nice.

Parc Central

If you prefer a more modern, comfortable shopping environment, and want a bit of light luxury and some good photo spots, Parc Central is worth a look. It’s an open, park-style mall with high-end beauty brands, trendy clothes, restaurants, and more. The whole place is laid out for a relaxed shopping experience.
